Mahur River sweeps away five dumpers

Incessant rains have started to adversely impact the entire northeast region. In a shocking incident, five dumpers have been swept away by rising waters in the Mahur River at Maibong.

Seven people have been missing including the drivers and helpers.

The incident had occurred in the remote areas of Lalting's Sinkiri where forceful currents swept the vehicles away.

The dumpers were travelling from Doboka to Maibong.

The police are now present at the scene.
