A notorious son allegedly beat with a bamboo pole and stabbed his father to death during an argument on a family matter at Pokamura in Jorhat.

The accused person identified as Jitu Hazarika.

Deceased Manik Hazarika had been taken to Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH).

However, JMCH doctors claimed that he was brought dead.

Jorhat police on Thursday arrested the accused son under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
