A devastating firehas taken place at the household of a person named Beer Bahadur Thapa, of theRangapara region in Sonitpur on Friday evening.

As per reports, property worth of lakhs have gutted down to ashes due to the fire. It was suspected by the locals that the fire had blazed out due to a short circuit.

However, the fire tender vehicles have reached the scene and have turned the fire under control.
