MGVK Bhanu urges dedicated candidates to contest Panchayat polls

Senior IAS bureaucrat-cum- Ex.Additional Chief Secretary of Assam MGVK Bhanu has called on political parties to ensure conducive atmosphere for dedicated political aspirants in the forthcoming Panchayat Elections.

He called for an enabling environment for free and fair playing grounds where dedicated people can contest elective positions and participate in political process.

"The Gram Panchayat has many important functions to perform. It plays an important role at providing some benefits for the community life of the rural people. Some of the functions are meant for improving the economic life of the rural people." – Bhanu said

"The candidate should be resilient and dedicated to their responsibilities. That's why the dedicated political aspirants should join in the upcoming polls for the greater interest of people" – he added.
