Miscreants burn down Arunachal CM’s campaign pandal

With the Lok Sabha elections round the corner, violence pertaining to electioneering is on the rise in Arunachal Pradesh.

In a violent incident, miscreants have burned down the pandal of a Sabha where the Chief Minister of the state Pema Khandu was scheduled to electioneer.

The incident has occurred in the wee hours of Friday in Lower Siang district's Nikabali.

It may be noted that fire service vans doused the fire in the early hours of the day.

BJP workers of the state have alleged that the deed is the brainchild of the opposition. "It is definitely the opposition who has done it. They know they are losing, they are scared of their defeat", said a BJP worker.
