Mizoram Registers 815 Cases of COVID-19

Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Mizoram on Tuesday pushing the state's tally to 815, informed health department.

The active cases in the state stand at 443 while 372 patients have recovered from the disease.

However, of the total cases, 682 are male who are infected with the virus while 133 are female.

Meanwhile, Aizawl wore a deserted look with vehicles remaining off the road and residents staying indoors as the government imposed a four-day total lockdown that began on Sunday night.

Filling stations, banks and some shops selling essential items were open, police said.

The lockdown was imposed to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
