The MotorVehicle Inspector (MVI) of Nalbari district, Paban Thakuria, has beensuspended. He has been suspended with immediate effect after a youth was thrashedinside his office-room.

Accordingto reports, a broker brutally thrashed one Rubul Talukdar, who had visited theMVI's office to get a driving-licence. The broker allegedly demanded money fromRubul, and when Rubul denied paying any money, the broker beat him inside MVI Thakuria'soffice.

The whole incident was recorded in CCTV. However, MVI Thakuria was not present during the incident.
