Police seizes cash worth Rs 21.75 Lakh in Guwahati

Assam police on Sunday night seized cash worth Rs 21.75 lakh from Guwahati's Khanapara.

Acting on a tip off, the operation team of Assam police nabbed a man named Amritraj Chaurasia who was carrying the huge amount of cash with him.

The police caught the man, who hails from Biswanath Chariali, and seized the money after a tip off that led to suspicion of illegally carrying the money or it in the future for any illegal activities or operations .

Police have kept the men for further interrogation and more details on why he was carrying such huge amount in cash and what the motive was behind taking all the risk by carrying the money are still awaited.
