In a shocking incident, a robber managed to escape after knocking two policemen in Nilbagan area under Hojai district.

Acting on a tip off, a team of Hojai police led by SI Rituparna Gogoi carried a search operation to arrest the robber Nur Alam alias Sajan. He punched two constable of the police team and successfully managed to escape from the scene.

There are fourteen cases registered against Sajan in different police stations under Hojai district. He is the prime accused of the robbery in a petrol pump in the district.

Meanwhile, police launched search operation to nab the robber.
