Sadiya SP transferred after Dhola incident

Superintendent of police, Sadiya Prasanta Changmai had been transferred on Monday and replaced by Debajit Deori, commandant of 24 APBN.

On Thursday night, five people of Bisonimukh Kheronibari village in Dhola, including three from one family, were lined up and gunned down by six unknown miscreants.

Amid calls for his resignation due to the poor law and order in Sadiya, various organisations of the state condemned the incident, alleging it was unfortunate.

On the other hand, Assam Chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal directed the DGP to ensure arrest of all the accused at the earliest, sources said.
