Sand laden trucks seized in Doboka

Pratidin Bureau

After the rapid announcement of Zero tolerance against corruption by theBJP led Sonowal government in the state, sand syndicates have been going on infull swing at the Doboka region in Hojai district.

On Wednesday, the locals of the region had seized three trucks in theregion while the trucks were illegally carrying sands from the nearby JamunaRiver.

The locals have been alleged that the miscreants and the sand brokers have managed the DFO of the region in exchange for huge amounts of money and so the DFO remains quite against the miscreants despite getting information regarding illegal sand syndicates.

Now, questions have been arising among the locals, why the DFO has not taken any step against the miscreants and when he will close the syndicates? To whom he is waiting for? Is there any other political support on him or is there any involvement of high ranked forest officials, that's why he doesn't care to anyone?
