A scuffle broke out between AIUDF workers and Congress supporters during an election campaign at Algapur area under Hailakandi district on Monday night.

According to reports, alleging AIUDF of campaigning till 10PM, the Congress supporters lodged a complaint to the administration against Badruddin Ajmal-led party. After getting information, the administration immediately rushed to the spot to prevent AIUDF from campaigning.

This led to a heated altercation between the AIUDF workers and Congress supporters. However, no injuries were reported following the incident.

Meanwhile, police officials claimed that the situation was tense but under control.
