Pratidin Bureau

Soil erosion is taking a heavy toll on the people taking shelter in the Satlarpar Government Platform at Fakirganj in South Salmara.

The families had started taking refuge there temporarily to escape the swelling levels of water during the floods.

But, even after the floods have subsided, the soil erosion hasn't let up. Till now, homes of around 200 people have been destroyed by the floods.
