Students’ Organizations Stage Protest in Nazira

The Sangrami Yuba Chatra Parishad along with three other organizations has staged protest in front of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) in Nazira and has called for a 48-hours bandh from 5 AM on Thursday.

The youth organizations have staged the protest against the appointment process in the ONGC as they alleged that the locals have been deprived of being appointed in various posts in ONGC.

40 protestors have been detained by the home guards during the protest in Nazira and another 12 protestors have been apprehended in Sivasagar.
