Syndicate raj exposed in Karimganj

Illegal syndicates of coal, betel nuts and cattle are running unabated in the State. This has once again come to light after Karimganj District Magistrate issued an order to prevent such illegal activities.

"It has come to my notice that illegal transportation/dumping/storage of different articles like coal, fertilizer, sand, stone, cattle and betel nuts etc. as well as overloaded coal trucks are passing through Karimganj district to Bangladesh or other parts of the country," read the order by the District Magistrate.
