Three dead in a head on collision in Jorhat

In an unfortunate incident, three people including two women died in a head on collision between a truck (RJ 27 GB 0810) and a Mahindra Bolero AS 01 DJ 3650 on the Jorhat Bypass at dawn today.

What is tragic about the incident is that all the people travelling in the Bolero were members of the same family, who were travelling from Guwahati to Moran to meet a new family for marriage purposes.

The dead have been identified as Prabhawati Devi, Urmila Devi and Rabindra Shah.

The other members of the family in the Bolero were Raju Shah, Mamta Rajkumari, Pulok Das and Sudama Shah.
