BJP candidate Babul Supriyo’s vehicle vandalised in Asansol

Vehicle of Union Minister and Asansol's BJP candidate Babul Supriyo has been vandalised outside a polling station after a fight had sparked between workers of the BJP and the state's ruling Trinamool Congress. The clashes broke out in West Bengal's Asansol as voting was underway in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections.

Speaking to the media, Supriyo alleged that voters are not being allowed to voted and added that it is shameful that he had to say that living in a democratic country.

The situation outside the polling booth, where BJP and Trinamool workers clashed, went out of control pertaining to which the police used batons to calm the situation down. Reportedly, The violence started after Trinamool workers insisted on voting in the absence of of central forces.

Taking to Twitter, the Union Minister alleged the TMC of violence and brutal intimidation saying,

It may be noted that the BJP candidate faces off Trinamool's Moon Moon Sen in the constituency.
