Blast in Trinamool Congress office, 1 killed

Pratidin Bureau

One Trinamool Congress worker was killed and six other were injured, when an explosion took place in a party office in Bengal's West Midnapore district on Thursday morning, minutes before a meeting was scheduled to start.
The injured were admitted to Midnapore Medical College Hospital.
But both BJP and Congress alleged that the blast in TMC office was result of stocking bombs in the office by the workers of the ruling party in West Bengal.
"To create an atmosphere of fear Trinamool Congress workers stocked bombs inside their office. Since the process of forming the panchayats started this week, the ruling party supporters needed the bombs to strike fear in the villages," claimed Samit Dash, BJP district president in West Midnapore.
However, Anil Sikaria, a district Congress leader alleged, "The Trinamool Congress had stocked bombs in the party office which exploded resulting in the death and injuries."
