COVID-19 Patient ‘Raped’ By Ambulance Driver

In a deeply shocking incident, a COVID-19 infected woman was allegedly raped by an ambulance driver while being taken to hospital in Kerala on Saturday night.

The blood-curdling incident reportedly took place at Pathanamthitta district of the state.

An Indian Express report quoted the SP of the said district K G Simon as saying that the accused Noufal has been taken into custody.

It was also informed that the driver was part of the state health department's "108 ambulance service". Noufal is also an accused in an attempt to murder case registered in 2019.

It has been reported that the driver took the woman to a deserted space while going to the hospital and raped her.

The victim described the incident to the hospital staff upon reaching the hospital, who then contacted the Police.
