Pratidin Bureau

Cyclonic storm Bulbul has crossed the West Bengalcoast with a maximum wind speed of 110-120 km per hour gusting up to 120 km perhour into Bangladesh, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

According to the IMD, the cyclonic storm has weakened from 'very severe' to 'severe' and likely to weaken into a deep depression during the next 6 hours. Also, it is very likely to move East-NorthEastwards across Bangladesh.

It may be mentioned here that heavy rain triggered by the cyclonic storm lashed coastal West Bengal on Saturday. The cyclone Bulbul uprooted trees that led to the death of one person in the city and causing traffic snarls.
