Heavy Rains Trigger Landslides in HP

Heavy Rainfall triggered on Saturday night at Himachal Pradesh leading to massive landslides at different places blocking a large number of roads.

NH-5 was blocked on Sunday morning for few hours in Kinnaur district. Road traffic has been disrupted due to landslide which caused a heavy traffic jam. Besides, NH-3 between Manali and Kullu was also partially damaged due to the landslide in the morning.

However,light and medium vehicles which include tempos were able to move at slow speedwhile heavy vehicles had to wait for the debris to be cleared to move on theroad.

Accordingto report, heavy rains have been predicted over the next few days by weatherdepartment. Chamba, Shimla, Dharamsala, Solan and Nahan are likely to receivelight rains accompanied by a thunderstorm.
