Legendary Vocalist Pandit Jasraj Dies

Legendary Indian classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj died on Monday in New Jersey, US. He was 90 years old.

The classical vocalist, who was from the the Mewati Gharana, had a musical career spanning more than 80 years.

The legend has been bestowed with several prestigious titles and awards including Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.

His death was confirmed by his daughter Durga Jasraj, as reported by PTI.
