MS Dhoni breaches 10k-run mark

MS Dhoni, former captain of team India achieved yet another milestone during the first One-day International against Australia.  Dhoni has become the 5th Indian player to breach the 10,000-run mark in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) On Saturday (January 12).

Except Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli had scored 10,000 ODI runs for India.
It may be mentioned that MS Dhoni is the 12th player in history of ODI to enter the 10,000-run club.

Earlier, MS Dhoni became the second wicket-keeper batsman after Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara to reach the feat. Among the 12 batsmen in the 10k club, it was Sanath Jayasuriya, who was the fastest to the milestone.

Dhoni was missing the feat by just a run, entered the 10k club with a single off in the first ODI between India and Australia.
