FIFA World Cup: France slams Australia, Argentina and Iceland play to a draw

On the third day of FIFA World Cup 2018, France scored a thrilling victory against Australia with a score of 2-1, while Argentina's match with Iceland ended in a draw.

France's goals had been scored by Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann while the goal by Australia had been scored by Mile Jedinak. The goals by Argentina and Iceland were scored by Sergio Agüero and Alfreð Finnbogason respectively; however, fans were disappointed not seeing Lionel Messi score a goal.

In the other Group C match of the day, Denmark defeated Peru with 1-0 with a goal scored by Yussuf Poulsen. In a Group D match held post-midnight, Nigeria lost to Croatia 0-2, with the two goals being scored by Oghenekaro Etebo and Luka Modrić.

There are two Group E matches scheduled for Sunday, one between Costa Rica and Serbia at 5:30 pm and the other between Germany and Mexico at 8:30 pm. Brazil will go against Switzerland in a Group F match at 11:30 pm.
