India, Pak declared joint winners of Asian Champions Trophy

Pratidin Bureau

In Men's Hockey, India and Pakistan were declared joint winners of the Asian Champions Trophy at Muscat in Oman on Sunday night.

The tournament director declared both teams as winners after the summit clash was called off due to heavy rain.

As the turf was completely waterlogged, discussions were held with the coaches of both sides and it was decided that the honours will be shared.

Following the declaration, defending champions India thus ended the tournament unbeaten.

Before this edition, both India and Pakistan had won the tournament twice each
