NE Open Golf Championship draws to a close

With an effort to promote and develop golf in the region, the Kaziranga Golf Club organized the North East Open Golf Championship recently. The club's initiative got good response as players from different parts of the northeastern states turned up for the event. As many as 15 golfers from the underprivileged community served as caddie golfers in the championship held at the Kaziranga Golf Resort.

Jakir Hussain was adjudged the Overall Champion of the golf meet. In the veterans' category for competitors over the age of 60 years, SM Hussain bagged the crown. The event concluded on January 20, 2019.
