Microsoft Skype develops end to end encryption

Pratidin Bureau

Microsoft Skype develops new end to end encryption for conversations between two people that would ensure that the chat between two people are hidden in both  the chat list and the notification. The feature would be available for all users on Skype, iOS,Android ,Linux,Mac and Windows. This end to end encryption would not only ensure that the messages are secure but also messages saved on the server could only be read by those involved in the conversation

This new encryption feature could be activated from a "New Private Conversation" option which  is now a part of the "Compose" menu.

A report said  "Users could participate in only one private conversation from a single device at a time and on switching the conversation to other devices, the messages they send and receive would be tied to the device they would be using at the time"

In January, Microsoft said they would offer the encryption feature for audio calls, text messaging and image, audio and video file transmissions.
