Scientists in the University of Michigan (USA) have invented the world's smallest computer. It is only 0.3 mm in size and reportedly can discover new ways to study cancer.

The device, in addition to RAM and photovoltaics, has wireless communication features and processors.

Its tiny size hinders it from having a conventional radio antenna; hence, the device has been so made to receive and transmit data with visible light. It has a base station that provides the light for power and programming and it also receives the data.

The computer, which is designed as a precision temperature sensor, can also read temperatures in infinitesimal spaces with an error margin of about 0.1 degree Celsius.
