Former US President George H W Bush dead at 94

George Herbert Walker Bush , the 41st President of the United States of America, passed away on November 30 Friday.

The Spokesman for Bush , Jim McGrath  tweeted a statement issued by the former President's son, the 43rd President George W Bush.

"Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died. George H. W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41's life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens," read the statement.

Bush served as the 41st President of the United States from 1989 to 1993. Prior to assuming the presidency, Bush served as the 43rd Vice President of the United States from 1981 to 1989. A member of the Republican Party, he had previously been a Congressman, Ambassador and Director of Central Intelligence. During his career in public service, he was known simply as George Bush; since 2001, he has often been referred to as "George H. W. Bush", "Bush 41", or "George Bush Senior" in order to distinguish him from his eldest son, George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States.

He was a World War II veteran and was wheel-chair bound in his last days. He suffered from vascular Parkinsonism, however specific cause behind his death is unclear as of yet.
