Members of the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) on Wednesday condemned the barbaric killing of Tirong Aboh, the National People’s Party (NPP) MLA from Khonsa West constituency of Arunachal Pradesh, on Tuesday in an attack allegedly carried out by the members of NSCN (IM).
The APLS president YD Thonchi in a statement issued to the media said, “This has sent a terrifying message about the revival of insurgency after peace prevailed for a long time in those three districts.”
The APLS further conveyed its condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.
The literary society also made an appeal for facilitating peace as the state is poised for faster development.
It may be mentioned here that in one of the most ghastly attacks carried out in the hill state on Tuesday, 11 persons were killed including MLA Tirong Aboh and his son.
