In its war against drugs, Assam police have yet again seized a huge amount of illicit drugs on Friday.
A consignment of 50,000 Yaba tablets was seized during an operation carried out in Goalpara's Dudhnoi.
According to a report, the seized drugs were recovered from two Bolero vehicles that were intercepted at a police checkpoint.
Additionally, cash amounting to Rs 19 lakh was also recovered upon searching.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted on the same.
"In yet another crackdown on an inter-state drugs gang, @assampolice has nabbed 4 persons carrying a consignment of 50K Yaba Tablets, Rs 19 Lakh cash, hidden in 2 Bolero vehicles. The trap was laid at Dudhnoi in Goalpara today. Well done," he tweeted.
