The Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will commence from January 28, the state government said today. The budget session will continue till the end of February. The Governor of Assam Jagdish Mukhi has conferred the Budget Session's schedule.
The time span of budget session would be finalized on January 9 by the BAC committee of Assam Legislative Assembly.
The budget session could be held at the New Assam Legislative Assembly building complex, said Mrigendra Kumar Deka, Principal Secretary of Assam Legislative Assembly.
Though the construction of the building is almost complete, services and interior work is yet to complete. One the technical works of the building is completed the budget session will be held in the new building, added Deka.
