Assam observed Silpi Divas across the State to commemorate the death anniversary of Rupkonwar Jyoti Prasad Agarwala on Thursday.
Various cultural functions, including competitions of Jyoti Sangeet and seminars were organized in many places to mark the occasion. In Tezpur, the birthplace of the cultural icon of Assam, Artist Forum of Assam organized an exhibition, where renowned artists Noni Borpujari and Pankaj Bordoloi took part.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal remembered the freedom fighter on the occasion.
Former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi also tweeted on Silpi Divas.
