It is Dr Bhupen hazarika's seventh death anniversary. 'Sudhakantha' is being remembered across Assam.
Under the aegis of the cultural directorate, his death anniversary is being officially commemorated at his Samadhi Kshetra in Jalukbari.
At the same time, AASU will also pay their tributes to the legend in Dighalipukhuri, where his statue is located. The organisation will pay their tributes by lighting 10 thousand diyas.
Various programmes ahve been organised across the state on this day.
Bhupen da breathed his last on November 05, 2011 in Mumbai, at the age of 85.
