FormerCongress Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita, who joined the BJP recently, said rubbishedformer Assam CM Tarun Gogoi's allegation against him and maintained that Gogoihas made baseless allegation.
TarunGogoi on Saturday alleged that Bhubaneswar Kalita was involved in the infamous CommonwealthGames (CWG) scam. Addressing the media in Guwahati, Gogoi had said, "I haveheard that Kalita was involved in the CWC scam."
Reactingto Gogoi's remarks, Kalita on Sunday said, "It is nothing but a baselessallegation. We all know that Gogoi always arranges press meet only to makevarious baseless statements."
Kalitafurther asked Gogoi, "If I was involved in the CWG scam, then why my name hasnot come up during its investigation?" Kalita, who joined BJP on August 9,reached Guwahati on Saturday.
