BJP Releases Manifesto Ahead Panchayat Polls

The Assam State BJP has released its manifesto for the forthcoming Panchayat elections on Wednesday, promising various development schemes to rural people. The manifesto was released in a meeting held in Assam BJP HQ at Hengrabari in Guwahati.

Famous singer Neel Akash will voice two of BJP’s panchayat campaign songs and jingles, informed BJP State president Ranjeet Kumar Dass. “We have prepared two songs to campaign in this panchayat election and Neel Akash will sing these songs for us,” said Dass, while releasing the election manifesto.

The meeting was attended by CM Sarbananda Sonowal, State BJP president Ranjeet Dass, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and various other leaders of the party.

The polls have been scheduled in two phase’s that is on December 5 and December 9 in 26 districts and 14 civil sub-divisions. The counting will take place on December 12. A total of 23,505 polling stations will be set up across the State.
