Eminent social worker of the State, GL Agarwala passed away this afternoon. Agarwala left for his heavenly abode at 4:30 PM at his own residence. He was born in September 19, 1940 in Barpeta Road.
He was suffering from prolonged illness at the time of his death. The veteran journalist as well as the writer went under treatment in Nemcare Hospital few months ago.
He was the chairman and MD of popular newspapers, which includes Amar Asom, Purvanchal Prahari and others.
