A horrific incident of an alleged suicide of a mother has created sensation in Sivasagar.
The woman has been identified as Anu Barua of Disial village.
Barua's mortal remains have been recovered from the backyard of her residence under suspicious circumstances.
The recovered-half burnt body of the woman hinting an alleged incident of a mother being tormented, by his son and daughter-in-law, to death has come to light.
The residents of the village has alleged foulplay saying the woman has been murdered and later burned to make it look like a suicide.
However, the police has also recovered a note allegedly belonging to the deceased, which says that the step was taken due to her daughter-in-law.
Pertaining to the incident, the police has detained both her sons and daughters-in-law.
The accused have been taken to Sivasagar Sadar Police Station for interrogation.
