The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has called for a central executive meeting on Thursday at 2 pm in the premises of Swahid Nyas.
The AASU will decide on the further steps to be taken against CAB at the executive meeting to be held with all the members of the organizations.
AASU has also launched agitation across the state after the Union Cabinet passed the contentious bill which will be placed in the Lok Sabha on December 9 and in Rajya Sabha on December 10.
Union home minister Amit Shah also held discussion with AASU representatives in New Delhi before clearing the bill by the cabinet but all went in vain as the Centre was determined to pass the contentious bill in the Parliament which will destroy the rights of the indigenous people of the state.
Meanwhile, AASU along with other organizations and concerned citizens have opposed the bill for long and launched a movement against it demanding the government to scrap the same.
