As the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) has passed in theUnion cabinet, the whole situation and the environment of Assam got changed ata single minute.
Till the last minute of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, all the people of Assam were waiting for a positive response from the BJP led Central and State Government.
But shockingly as the cabinet has passed the CAB andannounced the date of produce it in Assembly, the people of Assam started toraise their voice against the govt the bill.
The All Assam Students Union has already carried out severalprotest rallies across the various districts of the state like Dharmapur,Orang, Barpathar, Merapani, Chirang, South Rangia, Dibrugarh, Bokakhat,Jamogurihat along with many other districts and regions.
Moreover opposing the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) the college students of Banderdewa have blocked the NH37 today.
It may be stated that, opposing the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) AIUDF also have forwarded a Memorandum to the Union Home Minister to look into this matter once again and cancel the decision to implementation of it in Assam.
