An FIR has been filed against Zubeen Garg for disrespecting the "Bharat Ratna Award" by using unparliamentary words.
The FIR has been filed by Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Hojai Districts Kisan Morcha secretary, Satya Ranjan Borah at Lanka Police station for disrespecting the "Bharat Ratna Award " conferred to Bhupen Hazarika and the singing sensations discourteous behavior at public stage.
The Center on Friday conferred Bharat Ratna, country's highest civilian honor, on late singer Bhupen Hazarika (posthumously).
A video surfaced on social media where the singer is heard singing his new song Politics nokoriba bondhu (Don't do politics, friend) and using "parliamentary words" for the Bharat Ratna Award.
The singer has been making headlines recently and has been vocal against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
