Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has directed the Border Security Force (BSF) to open a control room at Dispur, with an aim to monitor activities along the Indo-Bangla border from the state capital.
Taking part in a high-level review meeting on Sunday, about the progress of border fencing works, infiltration and other border related issues, the CM said that a control room equipped with modern technology would be of great help in monitoring border related issues from Guwahati itself.
“The control room shall be a base at the state capital to monitor issues at the border and shall remove other hurdles too” Sonowal said.
BSF and Government of Assam officials were present at the review meeting. The BSF made a comprehensive presentation regarding the present status of various works being done along the border region.
