CM Sarbananda Sonowal has strictly ordered Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta to conduct a thorough probe into the matter involving the leak of the question paper of a SI recruitment examination and punish the perpetrators.
The examination to recruit sub-inspectors in the state, supposed to be conducted today by The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), was cancelled after the question paper of the same got leaked on social media prior to the exam.
The development, which has garnered widespread criticism and sparked a row on the efficiency of the government to conduct exams, left the candidates, who had turned up to sit for the exam, shocked, agitated and enraged.
