CWG 2022: Women’s T20 cricket included
In a historic move, the International Cricket Council and Commonwealth Games Federation confirmed the inclusion of women’s T20 cricket at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
As many as 8 international teams will compete in the 2022 Commonwealth Games after a joint bid by the ICC and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
This is the first time cricket has been included in the Commonwealth Games since 1998 in Kuala Lumpur when South Africa won the Gold in the men’s 50-over competition.
