After Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) President Atul Bora hinted at supporting the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, his mother asked him to “good work”, which could help the people of the State.
Speaking to Pratidin Time, Bora’s mother said, “I have told him to do good work for the people of Assam. He knows what to do or what not to do. I had told him earlier, but this time, he should make the decision on his own.”
Bora recently said that it was time to move ahead with reality and to be practical. He also said the passage of the Bill was almost inevitable. His remarks later drew sharp reactions from various sections of people.
