Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday distributed tractors to Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY) beneficiaries, power tillers, SHCs and mini rice mills to farmers and SHGs at the Krishak Samaroh in Golaghat.
On the occasion, the CM also ceremonially distributed land pattas to Khumtai LAC residents.
At the Krishak Samaroh, CM Sonowal also felicitated progressive farmers, including those who recently visited Vietnam to get first-hand exposure of modern farm practices.
The CM lauded them for their inspiring role in taking Assam's agriculture sector to greater heights.
He also inaugurated Chinatoli as Green and Clean Village.Addressing the huge farmers' gathering, the CM said, "I am a farmer's son like most of you and we all know that farmers infuse the spirit of hard work and morality into society, along with strengthening the economy".
