Former minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government and disqualified MLA Kapil Mishra along with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) women’s wing Chief Richa Pandey joind Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday.
BJP National Vice Pesident Shyam Jaju and Delhi unit President Manoj Tiwari welcomed the duo at the party’s office on Pant Marg.
After the joining programme, Tiwari said that he welcomed Mishra and Pandey into the party saying that he hoped they will serve Delhi by following the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and philosophy Deen Dayal Upadhyay and Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
Mishra has been disqualified earlier this month by Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel under the anti-defection law after he campaigned for the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections in May.

Speculations over Mishra joining the BJP were making rounds since he started criticizing the AAP supremo after being removed as a minister in May 2017.
