A sigh of relief for those Assam’s rail passengers stranded in Puri as the Northeastern Frontier Railway (NFR) has informed that train services will resume between Guwahati and the southern part of the country.
Today a train will leave for Guwahati from Puri at around 3 PM.
Train services were temporarily shut down due to the Extreme severe cyclonic storm Fani which had devastated parts of Odisha leaving more than thousands homeless.
It may be noted that there were several special trains provided to bring the state’s tourists, stranded in cyclone hit Odisha, safely back home. Although a few are still stuck in that area, most of them have returned safely.
