In a shocking and gruesome incident, a person named Rajesh Chetri was violently thrashed by a Home Guard at Guwahati Medical College and Hospitals (GMCH) today. Chetri reportedly sustained severe head injuries.
As reported, Padma Kalita – the home guard – was allowing people to visit the ward without imposing any restrictions.
Thermal testing was not conducted even after the instrument was available.
This dereliction of duty on the home guard's part was reportedly being recorded by Chetri on his mobile, which is believed to have led to an altercation.
Chetri meanwhile has filed an FIR with Bhangagarh Police Station.
