Govt withdraws security cover of 5 separatist leaders

The security cover of five separatist leaders have been withdrawn by the Jammu and Kashmir administration  after the dreaded attack by Jaish-e Mohammad suicide bomber on Pulwama that claimed the lives of 44 CRPF jawans.

The five separatist leaders include Hurriyat's Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Abdul Ghani Bhat, Bilal Lone of People's Conference, Hashim Qureshi of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front and Shabir Shah of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party.

As per reports, the security cover the order will come into effect from Sunday evening. The vehicles provided to the five separatist leaders will also be withdrawn by the administration.

The order said that no security forces or cover should be provided, under any pretext, to them or any other separatists and any security to any other separatist leaders shall  be withdrawn immediately.

The order states, "If they have any other facilities provided by Government, they are to be withdrawn forthwith,"

The order comes two days after Union home minister Rajnath Singh visited Kashmir on Friday to review the security situation in the Valley after the Pulwama attack.

After reviewing the security situation in Kashmir, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had said that security given to people being funded by Pakistan and the ISI should be reviewed.

In the biggest ever attacks on the security forces, the Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber  named Adil Dar blew up a CRPF convoy at Pulwama on the Srinagar-Jammu highway killing 40 CRPF jawans.

It is to me mentioned that the Indiain Government has withdraw the most favoured nation status accorded to Pakistan since 1996 after a  Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS)  meeting of the chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
